Capital District Minor Football Association
The CDMFA is a Registered Society whose members operate the league for minor football teams to play each other in the City of Edmonton and surrounding communities. Currently there are 51 teams operating under the CDMFA.
The website needed to serve as a repository for information regarding the CDMFA itself and individual football teams. Content needed to be easily managed and the website needed to be scaleable. Utilizing web based content management and database driven information we were able to develop a system that could be easy maintained and updated by multiple contributors.
The CDMFA also required the website to be a central point for submitting and managing player registrations by individual team registrars. We developed a feature-rich and easy to use online registration system. Each team within the CDMFA is assigned a 'registrar' account. The team registrar then has the ability to submit to and maintain player registration information from a central database. The CDMFA can then generate a wide variety of reports and analysis based on this data.
The website needed to be used as the primary method for score keeping for all leagues operating under the CDMFA. We implemented a system by which each individual team's 'scorekeeper' could submit the final score for a specific game - within a given period of time following the game. If there is a discrepancy between each team's submitted final game score the system automatically sends a notification to the CDMFA. If both teams report the same score then the final score is accepted and further processed for the purpose of league statistics.
